Replace and inherit attributes?

Hey!

So, when I drag a clip from the browser onto a clip in the timeline, I get the options "replace" "replace from start" etc. Now, it would be nice to have the option to have "replace and inherit attributes" so whatever effects etc I've done to the original clip are applied to the new clip. Is this possible?

(I know I could just copy before doing the replace, but I find myself forgetting most of the time, and would be nice to skip that step.)
