I've read something about this... maybe here, I can't find it again, sorry

Sometimes, although having moved to Timeline (with keyboard or even click) the "Play" keeps stubbornly playing a clip in the Library Browser. (no matter how many times I click on Timeline)

I have to click on an other clip in the browser , then go back to timeline

I work with a cpl of Apple Cinema Displays, (one of them vertical -> Library Browser) hope it's not related

Never noticed such a behavior (no access to FCP here on vacation). I never had a separate event viewer (in “X”, that is, as opposed to the timeline Canvas). Could it be that the dedicated browser viewer won’t stop playback unless you specifically hit spacebar or k?

no , Library Browser is stopped.

I see an image from Library Browser (moving or not) and Timeline will have no response at all. As long as I don't click on some other elements on the browser and then invoque Timeline it is stucked as that

I am not sure it is even related to double display, (I remember some oddities with double displays in the past though, (prior versions) like you couldn't Unrate a clip without going back to single) so just checking with other users.

I get this when I adjust audio or something in the Inspector, hit the space bar, the Browser version plays (because audio adjustments are not heard) but the Browser is not active, nor is a playhead moving there. I stop playback, Cmd-2, and I'm good to go.
