Anyone have any idea of what causes this message. Publishing to YouTube Failed: The operation couldn’t be completed. (com.google.HTTPStatus error -1001.)
Just a short 5 Min. video in 1080p. Have tried many times in last 10 hours and gets to about 52 percent and get same message. Nothing on YouTube boards suggest anything, but wait and try later.
In the past few years have had a couple of failures and just went to 720 and would upload.

Often thought publishing to YT direct out of FCPX or Compressor was more expedient but what reality taught me it was more often fraught with failures than successes. Error codes or returning to computer to discover some nefarious process botched the deal somewhere down the pike.

I double my chances at success by exporting a local file direct from FCPX while at the same time Compressor is TRYING to send an identical file to YT. If the Compressor 'direct to YT' attempt fails I upload the FCPX exported file via a browser. I've wasted too much time trying to identify a cause or reason for my many direct attempts. Some time she goes. Most often she doesn't. The #1) Make file then #2) Upload separately approach has never failed me.

Share to YT function has always been buggy. I avoid it totally. Export Master File, ProRes, upload to YT, great quality, and gets there faster.

Yes, I used that method to finally get it to upload. Must be either a problem at YouTube or with my Spectrum internet provider as it took hours to upload a 5 minute video and a long time to process. Thanks for the help. Internet seems to be fine for other uses. I guess next attempt will tell me more.
