What are people using for letter boxing these days? I used to use Alex 4D is it still on the go? I need to be able to adjust clips scale and position behind the letterbox.

While I'm at it, I also used to use his adjustment layer plug-in - what's the best thing to use these days?

You can still use Alex4Ds Adjustment Layer to letterbox *parts* of your video, why not? If the goal is not a multi-aspect-ratio feature or a format with fixed dimensions (like DVD), letterbox is not the best method. The best method is a pixel-accurate project setting with the dimensions of the video you want.
