I know Apple won't grace us with their presence this year, but I'm wondering if there will be other groups that will be putting on meetings, classes or other events during that time. I have a Post-Production World 3-Pack so I'll be taking advantage of that, for sure.

This year, for the first time, there will be specific FCP X presentations right inside NAB. More news on this in the near future.

I'm on the fence, not sure if I'll go or not. Hoping someone will give me a solid reason to spend that kind of money. I've only missed a couple over the past many years. And on those missed years, I got all the info I needed as fast as anyone else there, but online.

I totally understand. I have attended NAB 18 times and IBC over 25 times in my life. Then I stopped going because I got bored with both of them.

In the past 3 years I have been back to IBC, but only for the FCP X Tours outside of the Convention. Haven't even seen the inside of IBC again. This year will be different.

Here's an event Apple is hosting. They're bringing on all sorts of vendors, too. If you want to do mobile video, for broadcast or filmmaking or events, this is going to be great.
