Does anyone know how to have a seperate CLIENT MONITOR tht only sees the viewer/ project
I know how to mirror a second monitor, but that shows the entire editng interface -I am hoping to set up a client monitor-that only shows the viewer full screen while I am still able to have the small viewer within the interface for me to edit with on my iMac.

Have you tried the "Show in Secondary Display" option in the Window pull down menu? That let's the secondary display show the browser, viewers or timeline.

Yes , but when I do that the viewer is only on the second monitor, itis removed from the editing interface. .What Iwould like is for it to remain on the editng interface and also be on the second display/monitor.

Gotcha. Try going to preferences in FCPX. Under the playback tab, look at "A/V Output:" at the bottom. Hopefully your external monitor shows up as an option and selecting that will send playback to that monitor without any of the rest of the editing interface.

Cheers!

When I go to the "A/V Output. pulldown -all I get is" None Found" with no pulldown choices available.
But Thank you anyway.

You'll need an interface, such as an AJA T-Tap or black magic ultra studio mini device. Then you can select the device as its hooked up to the client monitor.
