Hi People,
My third topic over here and the responses are very helpful.
I still use FCP 7 to MXF my files for broadcast because i can't in X.
What i do in final cut pro X:
I select all > Make compound clip.
I export my audio seperate and make it EBU-R128. (So i have a 2 channel stereo audio file).
Then i mute the audio on the compound clip and replace it with the new audio file underneath.
I go to Share > Master File > Format MXF, And there i have my rolls.
The specs that i need within the MXF are 8 mono channels (1-2 all the audio) and 6 empty channels.
But how do i export the MXF with above settings?

There's no reason why you can't export a MXF file in FCP X:
Go to File > Share > Master File (default) > Settings > Format > Select MXF > Choose Video Codec you want from the list > Roles should be set as a multitrack file > then you can add as many audio tracks as you need > you can choose to make them mono, stereo or surround and then you can add what role you want to each track whether it's effects, voiceover, interviews, music, etc > you can add as many roles as you need to each audio track.
Once you know what you're doing, it's very straightforward and you can even set up pre-sets to speed things up or if you need different settings for different broadcasters.
Lots of people on the forum export MXF files for broadcast without any problems.

I export TV shows in MXF format every week, very easy. I created custom MXF presets in Compressor, to match the exact specs my distributors require. In FCPX I make those into custom Destinations, and place them at the top of my Share menu. Very easy.

FCPX Guru would you be willing to share one of your presets? I'm interested in learning more about broadcast work as I may be expanding some business into commercials.

1, get a printed delivery spec sheet from the TV station, AND the name and phone number of someone you can contact there about those specs. They usually give out surface level, not-so-specific specs, so you'll eventually need to call someone to ask questions at first.
2, go into Compressor and create a custom MXF preset to those specs.
3, go into FCPX and use that preset to create a custom Destination.
Not much else to it. Check all clips for broadcast legal video luma and audio LUFS levels. I save a ton of time with the Klangfruend (sp?) LUFS plugin. The ability to create Groups and set levels is really easy.
