FCPX growing files

Hi

I like to start editing in FCPX a file when it’s still recording with BLACKMAGIC media express .
I can import the growing file I’m fcpx but didn’t grow in the event even if it still growing in the hard drive !

Does fcpx give you the possibility to do that?

Any idea how to achieve that?

My workflow involves cutting a growing file most of the times. Can’t do it in X. I use PrPro for that. Would be great to do it X though.

FCPX can do it, but only with a third party product. I forget what it is, I'll have to check around.

Softron Movie Recorder. But your app has to allow growing files. Premiere does. Haven’t tried with 10.4, but earlier the file didn’t ‘grow’ after importing into X. It was great in 7

I knew about movie recorder, but if I can save 500 $

Média express let you opem the file even if it’s still recording , impôt I m FCPX. So i don’t understand why stops growing In fcpx and grow in hard disk

I Only tried 10.4

Media express doesn’t support edit while ingest. The software should let you use growing files. That’s why MovieRecorder is expensive.
