Hello! I was wondering how can I remove the "audio thingy" in the bottom-right of the screenshot I'm uploading... it shows decibels or something.. but I don't really use it, nor know what it's for haha. Any help plz?

that thingie is called Audiometer, and you toggle its appearance with
shift-cmd-8

Hmmm. Now I'm curious what kind of editing you do where you neither use or even know the purpose of a VU meter? Do you just edit video? Silent movies?
