I edit using MXF files (shot on FS7) that are ingested into FCPX and, as I understand it, rewrapped into MOV files.
Given that scenario, is there any reason to optimize the media? I haven't had any performance issues really. The files play just fine. Is there any benefit to optimizing other than performance?
