Event Viewer in FCPX 10.4 was created by drjicook
I am trying to use the event viewer in FCPX 10.4 to balance color between shots. When I bring up the event viewer it shows the shot I want to use with the color corrections. But when I click on shit-f the shot shows on the left with out the color corrections. What am I doing wrong.? Anybody else had this happen and how do I correct it. I have only tried using the event viewer for the first time, ant to learn how to use it. Please help me if you can. I have FCPX 10.4, on2015 27" Mac with 40 gigs of memory, under high Sierra 10.13.2. Love using it, but very frustrated with the event viewer.

The "Event Viewer" (viewer on left) only shows clips you have highlighted in the Event Browser, not clips in the Timeline.
Shift-F takes you from a clip in the Timeline, to it's original copy in the Event Browser.
Different copies of the same clip, don't have the same color effects on both.

Thanks for the answer. I think I found out how to make the corrected clip a new event in order to use that which the author of the tutorial was referring to in the lesson. Thank you again for the help, really appreciate it.

So, I found the answer to my question on a video entitled: MacBreak Studio: Episode 192 - Working with Dual Viewers. The problem I was having is addressed beginning at approximately 8.17 on the time line of this video. The video can be accessed at this address: . Maybe others have the same question. Thanks so much for the help.
