Get IOS ringtones as sound effect in FCPX

Hi all,

Is there a way to get some ringtones, used on the iPhone, as sound files which can be used in FCPX ?

I have tried to download them from the internet, but most of the time I am referred to an obscure website that I do not want to use to download anything from....

Record them with a good mic?

If you have iOS 11 you could record a movie of what the phone is doing on the phone itself (you may need to add the ‘Screen Recording’ button to Notification Centre) while you play the various ringtones that you are interested in. Take the movie into FCPX by connecting the iPhone to Your Mac and importing to FCPX using the import window.

Thanks for the suggestions. I figured there would be a way to grab the sound files somewhere,. Anyway, I used FCPX's voice over option to record the sound from the phone.

I do not know how to get a ringtone besides google, I'm looking for sites that provide ringtones for the iphone. If you have a new way to change this please give me a call.
