Final Cut Pro X 10.4 trouble.

hi there. i have been following this site for about 2 years now and just decided to become a member.
Recently, i have updated to fcpx 10.4 and high sierra.since the update ,every time I'm using fcpx 10.4 and try to click on either the effect bowser or the transition as well as titles browser i get the beach ball and it last about 5 minutes or so even on a 1 minute time line with standard 1080 files..i deleted the preferences many times and still the same. before the update ,everything ran so smooth.
ima on a {late mac pro 2013} 32 GB 1866
graphic card AMD FirePro D300 and using a USB 3.0 10 TB G Drive.
any help ? thx in advance.

Be sure Background Rendering is turned off in the Preferences.
Then select the Library in the Browser, go to the File menu, to Delete Generated Library Files, and in the resulting window, delete all render files.
After that I'd quit, and launch FCPX while holding the Option and Command keys together. This gives you the option of deleting the Preference Files.
None of this will have any effect on your media or Libraries. Beside clearing possible corrupted render files.

I have a similar problem. but my issue only arises after the computer has gone to sleep.
This is how i deal with it:
delete all files in /users/me/Library/Caches/com.apple.FinalCut
Reboot..
After that, i'm good until the computer goes to sleep again.

Odd, I'm not seeing this behavior.

Thx for the replies . i tried everything but no luck.
Until i went through and click every single plugins from the Title ,effect browsers, restart Final Cut Pro X and { voila everything back to normal..thx anyways.

You just clicked on them?

I hover the mouse over every single plugin in the browser of Transition ,Effect and Titles . I didnt have to use them on the time line.

I had a window-setting, that gave me trouble (beach ball). Deleted it, trouble is gone.
