Hi Guys,

I am really new to this forum. So I am sorry if I did not used the search option is a correct way.

On my current project I like to remove noise from my footage and I am probably doing this in an incorrect way. I drop the reduce noise drom Neat video on a single clip. I doing this after I applied my color correction and grading. I put the noise reduction on top of the other effects. The I click select to open and let Neat video do his magic thing. After this I render the clip and copy paste it to similar clips.

Then I thought. I am using one camera with probably one noise pattern. Am I wrong? So if I am right. Why can't I put an adjustment layer on top of al my footage, where I paste a rendered noise correction of a random clip.

That wil make things a lot easy and then the noise correction will be always on top.

Sorry for any language mistakes. I am from Holland.

Many thanks in advance

Yes you can do what you suggest as I have just started using that approach as it makes replaying footage much easier while editing because you can easily temporally switch off the adjustment layer. But beware because sometimes if you have rescaled in a multicam or compound clip it can produce odd scaling.

I guess you'd just want to take into consideration that your lighting may change, or lenses may change, which would generate different noise signatures on different clips. Depends on how picky you get. I don't know Neat well enough to do anything beyond using the auto-detect mode.
