Project displays in every new Library created

I am new to FCPx, and maybe did not understand the naming structure of this software. The naming is so backwards to me that it is hard to express the problem. I built one project, but it is to completed before I want to begin working on a new unrelated piece of work. So I create new Library, name it, and my original time line project shows up there as will, and it would make since to me that it should not, so everything must be stored incorrectly. Furthermore, my external drive do not show up inside FCPx as and optional import media source.

How do I correct these issues. Currently if I delete the timeline from the new Library creation, the timeline is gone from my other Library/Projects.

The application can have multiple libraries open at the same time. Any project open from a library remains open until a different project is opened. I open one library and open one of its projects. Then I open another library. The previous project is still open. I simply open a different project from the new library. You can switch between any project in any open library. You could if you wish close a library before opening another, but you don’t have to.
