Hi All

I was in the local version of the Apple iStore, a reseller of tech things, mostly Apple, and I had a quick rummage on one of the shiny 16GB RAM macbook pro's and I noticed that there was a 10.8GB folder called Final Cut Pro X Demo, and I wondered wow, where can I get this..So much better than the "official" snooze that we used to write the exams...

It looked so interesting than the anesthetic used in the official curriculum..Any ideas about how to source this yummy video??? Not the snooze..the FCPX demo...go to an istore and reveal in finder...very inrteresting...

You’d have to be a trainer or an account rep to have legal access to it. I’m assuming it was the thing about the cars at a race track. BMW or some company. Been around since FCPX was first released. There’s copyright issues with all that stuff. And yes, Fabio wannabe and his chopper are pretty lame. Not like when we had scenes from good TV shows to teach with...

Apple pro app Training is in the dumpster now. After 12 years with the program, I hate to say it, but it’s true.

It had skateboarder and other things, no boring cars, yeah, the only thing stopping me buying new versions of the ebook is that snooze fest, I think it is time to change the video for the training, 4th edition soon, and it has to change, please make it change...It was great the 1st time, but curry for the 4th day is just too much...Need something new...Apple will of course never agree to this...

You would have thought Apple would have included this yummy video as part of FCPX, as an extra download, for $10 I would buy it, when you bought FCS 2 or 3, you got an extra disk, full of media from the BBC..it had great HD def stuff back when High Def was new...

Oh well...thanks!

That was for 10_2, then for 10_3 that Japanese flower artists. actually cowboys, if I'm correct. Wasn't in an store for quiet a while.*

For that in-store Today-at-Apple trainings <cough> they let us massacre those demo files, but no hand-out … guess, a © reason …

* which reminds me, next time I meet a blue-tee in real-life to ask him/her, with what the particle demo is done in the iMp ads

Oh right, the flower artist! But I just looked over my old trainer stuff and the latest demo that Apple allowed us trainers to download, meant for account reps to show to corporations and schools and such, has a variety of stuff in it, and isn't the flower artist. Plus one of the Generators it uses is no longer in FCPX 10.4, or so it seems ("Green Screen Generator"?). But yes, that's all copyrighted stuff that Apple's use of is limited to sales pitches.

Thanks everyone...
I just saw this video material, and thought, that is good stuff, would be great to edit, varied and interesting, a wide scope.

Strange how Apple cannot afford to give this material away, after all Apple so kindly giftd us BBC Motion material as part of Final Cut Studio...

Maybe this was the idea behind "download additional content" to my knowledge only ever worked once...

Anyway I thought I would ask, and great answers supplied...Thanks Karsten and FCPX guru!!
