UPDATE FCPX IN APP STORE

Updates are available now, FCPX 10.4 / Compressor 4.4 / Motion 5.4 and Pro Video Formats 2.0.6

sorry but I do not understand if it will work this version with OSX el capitan?

It did not show up on my MBP with El Capitan.
Works on my iMac with Sierra so glad I did not have to update to High Sierra at least.

10.4 requires at least Sierra and some features require High Sierra; like 360 video and new HEVC codecs.
So no, El Capitan not supported.
Guess it is time to update for me as well.
Really looking forward to the enhanced Color corrections in 10.4.

For those on HS, would appreciate hearing about experiences using 10.4 and if it fixes issues.

Made a clean install of HS today. First of all: it just took just some 10 minutes, all in all. Then ~45 min for all apps to load (part of Adobe CC too).

Existing libraries need to be conformed - no turning back.

My only plugin - Neat - works.

Everything seems fine. Made the color wheels the new standard tool which cmd 6 evokes. You can customize shortcuts for the others (empty entries in command editor). Love the responsiveness of the curves and wheels. HSL curves are great. That's all I can say for one hour.

have the hardware requirements changed? or?? am ON high sierra, and updated pro video apps and motion... but the FCPX update doesn't show.

when i try to install from the app store, it says it's already installed on my mac (i have FCPX 10.3.4).

any thoughts, anyone?

Move FCPX from the Applications folder to the trash. Then launch the App Store, go to the Purchased section, click "Install" for FCPX.

I am having the same issue (late 2016 15" MBP on 10.12.6).

Just curious: What does Apple Support suggest?

i'll post what i find out, but so far, not making any progress (but hearing a lot of insipid pop music while on hold)...

FCPX.guru's advice is on apple's site as well, so... probably the way to go. but will tough it out with phone support, since i'm already here...

EDIT: after an hour on hold... i followed FCPX.guru's advice, and that works. but keeping the older app as well (since both my collabs are still on 10.3.4)...

Sorry for a question I have updated to Sierra 10.12.6. and now I install fcpx 10.4 but that I work less than those who have High Sierra instead?

Besides not being able to use 360 and some video formats what else can not I do with Sierra?

360 and HDR are the only two things you don't have access to in Sierra.
