Add bar to follow music in FCPX was created by Blueflamman
Hey there guys,
Trying to find a plugin (if one exists) that I can use to create the "following the music" effect shown in this video @0:54sec.
Any help or suggestions would be most appreciated.

Welcome Troy to fcp.co
… do you mean that moving blue bar?
Not aware of such a highly specialized plugin …
Could be done in FCPX alone, could be done in Motion much, much better … made you quick'n dirty a lil' plugin:
dl, unzip and drag folder into your ~/Movies/Motion Templates/Generators...
All it does creating a thin blue (adjustable in the Inspector in FinalCut) line which moves across the screen. Your job is it, 1) to create the split screen and 2) adjust manually the length of the generator to the music; for looping you have to copy/paste the Generator.
or…
did you mean a complete template, three 'windows', readily arranged, with drop zones and stuff?

Wow, thank you so much for your taking the time to do that. I will mess around with it now. No I was not after the split screen just the moving bar.

you're Welcome!
really done in a minute …
don't be shy to request 'refinements' …
theoretically it should b possible to set a BPM and adopt the movement to that - but I'm no good in math LOL!! Guess, the stretch-to-fit method is robust but more convenient …
