Box on the left hand side???

Hi all,

Sorry this is clearly an obvious one, but I don't know what this box is on the left hand side which is showing a zoomed in portion of the footage I have imported. I don't know how it suddenly appeared on my screen and I certainly wish I knew how to remove it. I can no longer see my footage in its entirety when scrubbing through the footage.

Sounds like you’re zoomed in on the viewer. Make sure it’s set to fit the content.

Ahhh - see what it is now, thanks, The Event Viewer. I just hid it by going to : Window - Show in Workspace - Event Viewer.

I guess I had opened it by mistake with a shortcut perhaps and it confused me!

So you weren't talking about the red rectangle that appears in the viewer when zoomed in? This doesn't show simply by hiding or revealing the event viewer. What is the "box" you are referring to?
