Dear all, apologies if this topic exists somewhere else, I couldn't find something which covered what I'd like to ask. Does anyone know of a way to make still photos "flip up" onto the screen in FCPX? I was thinking along the lines of photos lying face down and then"flipping up", to face the camera, as it were. I can't figure out how this might be achieved. Thanks, in advance, to any help that's offered!

Motion template needed, because you will want to adjust the Anchor Point. But you may also want to look into mBehavior.

If you built it in Motion yourself, you'd set the Anchor Point to the bottom center of a Drop Zone, then animate it to flip up as you wanted. Shouldn't be difficult, very basic.

Here's a generic Motion project that does this. Should get you started to what you really want to do. I added an Oscillator behavior to the Rotation for a little wobbliness as it comes to full hight.
