just to elaborate a bit Ben's reply:
PS has a bad track record, 1) due to some hefty © infringement in the past and 2) due to many reports of 'bad customer relations' (no feedback on issues etc)…

Really appreciate it.
Any suggestions for something that works well and not to expensive.
I'm also looking for a plugin that would make it possible to draw on frame.
Eventually I can use TrackX with an object if I can't draw directly.
UPDATE: I will simply import sequence in Motion and animate in there.

You can emulate Film looks, add really nice grain (and there are custom grains for every sensor size). And custom profiles for many types of cameras.
Really worth the money and more versatile than a simps grain plugin.
I bought a plugin once from Pixel Film Studios before I heard all the negative stories. It was a terrible plugin (didn't work as described), and when I wrote them 5 times over the span of 3 months.....never received any reply. They just don't seem to care.

FilmConvert is great! I don't think there's a way to only add the grain though... sometimes I wish it was...spurratic wrote: I would strongly suggest getting FilmConvert.

I would be very interested in a "Texture" plug-in... To me, the film look is more about texture (and there's something more than just the grain) than the colour... Some plug in that added more control to the grain so it reacted differently to dark and bright areas, and to different colours etc etc...

you can set film color and film curve to 0. then it will add only grain, i guess.
