Ok, so i've asked this question twice over in the Compressor section but haven't gotten a single response back. Not sure if it is better here or not.
But I am trying to build a Blu-ray menu based disc inside DVD Architect. I have no clue what format to export out of FCPX in order to bring it into DVDA without having to recompress the file again.
To my understanding, i want to export a AVC/H.264/MPEG-4 file. I for some reason can't make a .m4v file in Compressor and making any kind of adjustments to the file. I can make an .mp4 file but i can't change the field order on it (Blu-ray NEEDS to be interlaced, not progressive. So my 1080p30 timeline needs to become interlaced). And i'm not sure what a AVC file is.
i know there is a 'H.264 for Blu-ray' option, but it still requires DVDA to recompress it. and again, it doesn't let me tell it to be interlaced on the field order. Not sure how i can select a Blu-ray preset option, tell it i'm in 1080p30, and not have it force it into interlace.
it's almost as if they didn't build Compressor to let you export anything to be used to create a Blu-ray.
Please help me find the right way of exporting my videos for Blu-ray authorizing in DVD Architect!
