Hello,
I am looking to see how to accomplish a cool effect using a black and white png image like in Premiere Pro CC and do it in FCP X. I have a screenshot of what I'm talking about. You have the B&W graphic on top layer, a clip below that is the incoming clip and the clip underneath that is the outgoing clip. The incoming clip has the "Track Matte Key" effect on it and uses the "V3 track which has the graphic on it as the mask source.
Thanks All

In the Video inspector look in Composing Blend Modees at Stencil or Silhouette Luma. In FCP the matter layer is sandwiched between the layer to be effected and the background. Usually the matte layer and the effected layer are combined into a compound clip. Not exactly sure of the effect you’re tryouts no to reach, but this should get you started.
