Change colour scheme of UI in FCPX ?

Hi Guys
I'm working with some very dark video that I need to realign but its getting lost in the very dark colour scheme of FCPX user interface.
Is there any way to change the colour scheme of the UI?

There are no options for changing the UI color but if you are on a dual monitor setup, you can put the canvas on a second screen which might make an improvement. The easiest solution might be to just select the clip and using the color board increase the mids and shadows to brighten the image while you make your alignment adjustment. Then restore the color board to where you need it.

I'd question that if something is so dark in can't be seen against the FCPX UI, I'd question how well it will show up on a computer or TV screen. Unless you have an element smaller than the Viewer itself, and you are having trouble seeing it on the black Viewer background, then there is a very easy solution.

You can aways change the canvas to white or checkerboard in the Preferences, Playback section, "Player Background"..

yeah, it wasnt filmed/lit very well by someone else.

It was such a bright day when I posted this question so I was having trouble seeing the screen, in the end I drew my blinds.
Still it would be nice to have different UI colours.
