live capture monitoring within custom aspect ratio

Hello!
I've been heavily leaning towards purchasing FCPX but have one major interest that i can't seem to get an answer to first..
I am planning on creating projects in unusual aspect ratios, square 1:1 mostly but perhaps some others...
And i am also planning on capturing all footage live from camera via a HDMI/USB video capture device.
I am wondering if in the live capture screen will be in the crop of the custom aspect ratio i've set for the project (1:1 in this case) or if it will simply be in 16:9 or 4:3 by default. I am very much hoping I can view the live capture as it occurs within the 1:1 ratio so that the final cropping can be viewed while the content is being shot. This way all framing composition can be achieved like normal instead of having to use one's imagination the whole time...
