Hey there everyone!
I am brand new to fcp.co and I am excited to be here!
I work at a university managing broadcast studio equipment and we've had multiple issues with students losing they're projects in FCP. We have two 2011 iMac's and last year we had a power surge which forced FCP to essentially revert to a library that was updated the week before. So any projects that were worked on after this Saturday last year were completely gone (No render files, no projects, all libraries were reverted to an image of FCP at a previous date)
Now comes the issue that occurred this morning....
Almost the same occurrence happened with a few students losing their projects on only one editing computer rather than both. I am completely baffled by the fact it only happened to one computer and not the other. It doesn't seem to be a power surge since both computers were powered on and running when I came in this morning.
So here comes question time...
Are there any error logs that I could examine within FCP? I briefly researched this question but was unable to turn anything up.
Has this happened to anyone else before? Projects mysteriously disappearing as if they were never worked on?
I want to thank anyone who takes the time to read this in advance and I greatly appreciate the moderators running the forum too! If I can answer any questions, don't be hesitant to ask!
