Thumbnails for compound clips. What happened? was created by talonhead
Hey guys. I've got this issue where I don't have any thumbnail images for my video clips when making a compound clip of an entire project for mixdown.
Anyone know what the issue is? Thanks as always for your input.

You mean the compound clip just is gray or whatever color and no film strip icons, correct? I've seen that here and there on some systems. Probably a bug. You could so a few things to see if you can force it back.
1- Select the Library, go to File menu, to Delete All Generated Library Files, and delete ALL render files.
2- Hold Option and Command keys at the same time, launch FCPX, when prompted delete preference files.
Not sure if either will help, but worth a shot, won't hurt anything.

Unfortunately, that did not work...both methods.
What I have found is that even in the browser I don't have a thumbnail for the Project, nor the compound clip of the entire project itself in the browser. I can *get* a thumbnail in the compound clip by hovering over a section of it, but by itself, no.
All I see is the standard placeholder of the Mountainscape image in both the Project title and compound clip of the project within the browser. Of course as mentioned previously, no images at all in the compound clip in the Timeline.
However, the other compound clips I have made of single clips within the same project, no problem with a thumbnail there. Apparently, it's not liking 6 minutes worth of project compounded.
So basically, I've got some thumbnail issues going on. Don't know what else to do.

First, fill out the feedback page.
I'd search the forums, seems I've seen posts about this before, but don't recall a resolution at the moment.
Anyone know what to do from here?
