TRAINING TUTORIALS

In 2012 I bought Final Cut Pro X Second Edition (Apple certified training manual) by Diana Weinard to use with then version of FCPX. I won't bore you with history of tech problems, but suffice to say that I had to recently purchase latest version of FCPX 10.3.4. However, I find that the training exercises in the above mentioned book cannot be carried out because there appear to be differences in the timeline structure/functions etc.

So, can anyone please advise of the latest FCPX training manual that I can use with latest version of FCPX?

I am using iMac 27 with macOS Sierra 10.12.6

Advice on optimum Apple Pro training manual (beginner) would be much appreciated. Thanks in anticipation.

The APTS book by Brendan is the best, actually, as long as you're using the book that goes with the FCPX version you're on, and that book is updated pretty much every year (although bout 6 months behind the app updates). I'm an Apple cert'ed trainer and have taught out of that book a lot. The BRAND NEW version that JUST came out is good.

If you want video training, either macProVideo or Ripple Training.

Bear in mind we're expecting an FCPX update in October in conjunction with the Creative Summit conference, as Apple seems to have settled in to now. So that book will still be useful, but needing another update. Apple's own training has been sorely lacking since the last year of FCP 7. Shame, it used to be the best, now... eh...
