Sync selection to monitoring angle is greyed out

Hey,

The 'Sync selection to monitoring angle' option in the multicam angle viewer is greyed out in my current project. Does anyone have a clue of why this could be? Did something change in the last couple of updates? Using FCPX 10.3.4.

Can you post a screenshot that shows the active monitoring angle and the clip you want to sync?

Ok, I recreated the multicam clip and found the issue...

I had some clips that were 50p that were set to 'automatic speed'. After this is done, the 'sync selection to monitoring angle' function is not available, not even for the 25p clips!!

Kinda crappy, if you ask me!

Good to know, but I can see why it would be a problem for Thebes speed clips. I was going to suggest selecting a clip and trying sync selection.

Is there a way to use 'automatic speed' (or at least make it half speed BEFORE adding a clip to a multicam?

(what we have done is that she played along to music that was sped up to double the speed, so when played at half speed it's the normal speed... )

I don't think so. Normally I think automatic speed is applied to clips in a project.
