Is this a known issue in 10.3? It happens to me on different iterations of 10.3 (not sure about 10.2.3.) Also happens in different Libraries on different Edit Bays.

Thank you

Where exactly are you cutting? In a project? I can't say I can reproduce the problem and haven't heard of it before.

I'm not having any crashes when working with multicams. What are your hardware specs, and what codec and duration is the video you're working with?

I'm working with ProRes 3.2K from Alexa Mini.
Any time I blade all at the head of a multicam FCPX quits. I'm working on 4 different computers two maxed out trashcans and two maxed out last gen towers with 850 EVOs replacing their interntal Raids. It's not a performance issue, unless it's becasue I"m working with two poly audio sources (10 tracks a piece) and four 3.2K video tracks. It is a problem that has spanned multiple iterations of FCPX from 10.2-10.3, multiple edit bays and multiple Libraries. Much like my last post.

Thanks again.

I have a head of just audio in some of my MCs and I'm trying to cut and delete them to be flush with the start of my earliest video track. I do the same thing at the tail of the MC. At the tail I can blade all and delete just fine, at the head it crashes FCPX.

Yes, I can reproduce it. I've never done this before. What you're doing is a blade all inside the multicam editor. That's not how you're supposed to prepare a multicam clip to edit. You simply mark I/O in the browser like any other shot, an In point where the video begins, and Out where the video edits and edit it into the project. I suppose you should be able to do what you're doing, but I've never seen anyone do it like that before.

I have nontraditional editors working on my project as I am on a very large installation piece. I have to cater to their needs and expectations, which at times requires unconventional uses of FCPX. If you knew what I was doing you would probably go insane.

Non-traditional? That’s like people who haven’t edited before? Sounds like you need a post supervisor to wrangle the production.
