This doesn't concern Plug-Ins but I wonder what's the best way to make screen overlays like filmburns, light rays etc available in FCPX. Sure, it's possible to create an own library for that... but maybe there's a way to make them available in the effects browser?

Hello Jörg,

Stock screen overlays like film burns, light rays, bokeh etc... are plain media (either video or stills ). Just like any other media, such clips appear in the clip browser. You can import your screen overlay collection into a dedicated Screen Overlays Library (either importing into the Library or using Leave Files in Place), then you can further organize the clips in FCP X using keywords, Favorites, Smart Collections etc... This will give you a fully organized collection that will be much easier to browse than having all those individual clips appear in something like the Effects Browser.
