Hello FCP Community,

I wanted to know how to do a basic slide in and out for videos. The effect I am hoping would push the video to the right / left and allow text or image to take up the space available from moving the video to the right / left side. Here is a sample ( vimeo.com/198216463 ) video that does it (around 25 secs - 33 secs).

Really hope it is not too complicated to create in motion 5 and can be reused.

Thanks FCP Community!

For only $30, why not just buy that set from LenoFX? You'd get a whole slew of great items that would be infinitely usable. They are very customizable, and you wouldn't have to spend time creating them yourself.

Just curious, is the plugin necessary for the slide in and out effect? I've been planning to make these for one of the presentations I have to give at university but I can't seem to figure out how to do it properly without failing.

SlideIn/Out is a factory transition in FCPX.
The mentioned plugin allows elaborated versions of this effect…
