Backup Options was created by damiangrady
Hi all,
Anyone got some advice on the best way to go for FCPX library backups?
Are physical drives the best option or is Cloud backup worth exploring?
We have a pretty fast connection - 100Mb / 100Mb.
Advice very much appreciated.

Roger that. Can you recommend a drive with around 12TB to 16TB?

MacSales.com has great quality drives as decent prices. For a backup drive, you don't need speed or anything. Get a USB 2 with 5200rpm drives if it saves money. Use Carbon Copy Cloner. The initial backup will take overnight, but after that it's doing incremental backups and will take 15-20 minutes. That's how I do it here. Been running like that for 4 years now with no issues at all.
