Proxy and audio

Hi all,

I'm working on a large project with all my media stored on external drives (outside library).
Now I want to create proxies and thinking the best way is to store them inside the library so I can copy it and edit on a portable drive.

The problem is my separately recorded audio that has been synced are not included in the proxy files.

Is there a way to move only those audio files into the Library (from its external location) before I make proxies and then copy the library to the portable drive?

I know I can copy all my audio to my portable drive and then relink, but that is far from a good enough solution, especially if I have to relink again when moving back to the drives with my original media.

I appreciate any advise (or confirmation that I'm not missing something)
