FCP/Compressor MXF Export Problem

I had a file that was Pro Less 422 29.97 Progressive. I need it to be MXF 422 XDCAM. I first put the file straight into compressor and applied the appropriate MXF preset and when I imported it into FCP to check it had no audio. So I then placed the original into a FCP project and shared it out with the proper MXF setting. Still no audio on final. I did the same procedure in Adobe ME and it worked fine. What could be going on here?

I'd have to see a screen shot or something. I export MXF several times a week with no issues. Need more details.

Does it work correctly if you export the MXF directly out of FCPX instead of using a Compressor preset?

The original file is not MXF. Its Pro Res 422 1920x1080p. I need to deliver it as MXF XDCAM 422 1920x1080i. A few times when I brought the exported file back into FCP it kept crashing. I export MXF XDCAM 422 almost daily as well. This was a spot that was delivered to me in the wrong format. I didn't create it. It's just strange to me that Adobe ME had no problem with it,

Try exporting the FCPX timeline as a Master File, set the Format the MXF, and the Video codec to XDCAM. Instructions are in the earlier support document, and a screen shot is here:

I can confirm this bug ( www.fcp.co/forum/4-final-cut-pro-x-fcpx/...ate-broke-mxf-export ). It started in FCPX 10.3.3 and continues in 10.3.4. If you have a backup you can go back to 10.3.2, that's what I did.

Exporting an MXF as a master file does work, but you'll have to be wary of how the roles export. Still, this does not change the fact that Compressor presets broke with the update and must be fixed. Make sure to report it to Apple Feedback.
