Can' t update to 10.3.4 FCPX version / funny messages
I can't update to latest .4 Version see attached screenshots
Basically message is telling that FCPX is already installed (yes 10.3.3) and that I should open the App Store and look for updates. Very funny because App store is already open. Tried to reboot a couple of times but still receive the same messages... any ideas except installing OSX again

FCPX is not renamed, e.g. 'FCPX alte Fassung'?
Apps-Folder is on int. 'main' drive?

really ??? but you told us:

When _I_ click in the AppStore on Update, it will just update the installed version - no 'saving' nor on ext. drives…
So, you DO somehow 'interfere' the update process…

then, for undocumented reasons, your extHDD is 'recognized' as OS-drive… which 'confuses' the installer routines: the update is downloaded (obviously), but can not be installed because no FCPX there (=on THAT drive, not the main one) .....
because I have it here* :
does your 'other' drive contain a System?
* To update our schools Mac (which is behind a bullet-proof firewall AND has a lame connection), I had cloned it's int.drive, launch at home from that drive, and, 'in disguise/I'm a school Mac', I dl all updates via my faster connection, later clone back on schoolMac.
And THAT drive confuses my own system too, when connected, and start-drive is my own, intSSD…

Lets see how the situation will be when Apple releases in 3-4 months FCPX 11

If they improve audio mixing further, and drastically, I think they will call it 10.4.
Why do we first have to compound the project to bake the role-lanes into "stems"? Wouldn't this be possible with just another view we could toggle in he timeline index? Then, with THX ducking, a new workspace for audio mixing and what have you, they could skip 10.3.5.
They promised Jobs at the deathbed FCP X would be a ten year commitment. FCP XI might still be 4-5 years in.
