The Boris Calligraphy moving up credit roll from Fcp7 with deflicker was the absolut champ. I mean for interlaced tv, and close to good for progressive.

Now I feel like an orphan : FcpX and Motion 5 built in tools are jerky as hell.

Manifesto from Fx factory is far from perfect.

Looking for a new champion !

( if possible with logos picts ... embedded rolling up same speed)
thank you

That's interesting to hear, because I've not experienced any jerkiness with the built-in credit roll. Usually a sans-serif font in a large enough size does the trick. Sorry, that's probably no help.

What's your specific problem?

As I said, FcpX and Motion credit roll are flickering, if the speed is not very slow...

could go faster with Fcp 7

A really old topic but always valuable.
I work for french TV 1080 50interlaced. When i need to make a credit roll, the only tool i can use to avoid flickering is After effect. No tool in FCPX (even in Resolve) make the job in interlace.
So, have you find the champion ?

Best way to achieve a not jerky credit interlaced roll in FCPX is to make a 1080 50p project, render and export the basic FCPX credit roll and then import the result back into a 1080 50i project . The result is perfectly smooth on an interlaced control monitor.

nope Ben, doesn't help :)

specially since for interlaced Tv you must have very low standarts to think FCP basic it's fine.

but the French trick seems great,
with FCP7 the deflicker - was doing the job... basically adding one point vertical blur

Avid has the same problem, since the old Title tool disappeared (old but really good result for interlaced Rolling title).
We have tried Tiler+ with problems of regularity in rolling title, not smooth. We've also tried Boris FX Title Studio, with good results but as the same as the basic tool of FCPX, if we use th "french trick".
