Draw mask and chroma key

Hi, often use draw mask and chroma key together and am having a issue where the edge of the draw mask is showing a line on top of the keyed image. Could you please offer advice about how to remove this line?

I've tried messing with settings in both the chroma key effect and draw mask effect. In some cases, i've been able to hide it with a some careful shape masks (with transparency fades)- but that doesn't always work when the draw mask needs to be at weird angles.

This doesn't usually happen when I use draw mask and chroma key- i've only noticed it happening on a few videos and its seems to have started over the past couple weeks.

Anybody have any ideas about how to remove this line? Or if i'm doing something wrong?

Also, why would it be happening on some videos but not other videos? My lighting situation is pretty much constant.

I think the keyer needs to come first, then the mask. Drag the keyer above the mask.

You need to feather your mask, simple as that.

Which version are you using?
btmk, that 'masks-make-lines'plague (had it here too, dirt-masks were almost impossible) was a bug fixed with some of the last updates … in the actual version hadn't noticed it anymore …

"aktuell" means current or freshest. "actual" is eigentlich in german.

It’s working fine now. I’m not sure why, but I tried to recreate it by creating a new mask and I think that I must have done it in the wrong order , as fb_100003045233641 suggested.

Feathering didn’t fix it.
