Need opinions on MacBook Pro Purchase

Im new to the video side of things - I am closing down my recording studio - getting out of the music industry after 15 years and heading into the ministry - I am planning on making some YouTube type videos and also some documentary / expose type films - with clips and images and Voice over - no major self shot video footage... I own a macbook pro 2009 15" 2.53 8gig / thats treated me well for standard duties, keynote and running Logic when remote gigs - but when I try to use FCPX - its not pretty - editing a simple clip is fine - but applying any effects - chokes things up -
I am looking at a refurbished 2016 Macbook 15" 2.6 (the base model) for $2039.00 - but there is also a reformed 2015 2.2 15" - it is also the base model - so it ONLY has Intel Pro Graphics - but it is $1699. - a $340 savings - that I could use to buy a decent SSD external - so that I can work on the go and transfer FCPX project to my MacPro 2.4 8 core - if needed. - I have to admit - I don't what is the better buy - I just want to make sure that the 2015 2.2 with Intel Pro - is suitable to run FCPX - without any issue - Im a little out of the loop - running this current MPB since 2009 - Im sure anything would be an improvement - would appreciate any and all advice. - Thanks

Newer MBP will have the better GPU, which is what you really want. The CPUs between the two are not that different, you won't see much performance difference between those. Also, no less than 16GB RAM.
