Yes, the latest FCPX upgrade changed the audio effects icons to that gray portable AM radio from the 60's looking thing.

Probably haven't noticed. The icons update with the app update, nothing delays it. May not have noticed. I didn't notice right away.

… changed the audio effects icons to that gray portable AM radio from the 60's looking thing …

odd. isn't it?
Wasn't skeuomorphism declared dead?

… would understand a 'preview' icon, like the vidi-effects, (example: showing the Compressor interface) but a radio with a dial?? My son is that generation never owned a 'radio' …

How are 'plugins' illustrated in Logic?

They are in a list, no icons.

c'mon Ben, don't split hairs, these ARE 'icons' whatsoever…

(the Compressor as an example…)

'graphical, reduced representation' … icon.

No need, for an antique 'radio' (??) as general representation of … what??
On an Scale of Info-Entropy, a 'general' sign/logo/icon is a clear zero…

Think he means in Logic they're in list form.

Your question was, "How are 'plugins' illustrated in Logic?" They're not, they are in a list.

Man I wish FCPX would handle audio plugins like Logic Pro . My beefs are:

The ability to ignore or bypass AU units manually in prefs like Logic Pro X
The Ability to See plug Ins in their Native Interface like Logic Pro X with menus and GUI

Tired of crashing on load in since my machine has many plug ins that work fine in Logic Pro X but crash FCPX
