Control V acting funny

Hi, i use the ctrl V keyboard shortcut often to tweak video effects on timeline. Often (especially when i have a big project), it will move my view of the the timeline all the way to the end when i hit this keyboard shortcut, forcing me to scroll back to the actual clip in the timeline that i am trying tweak. Has anybody had experience with this issue? Is there any way to fix it?

First thing I'd do is go to the Final Cut Pro menu (called the Application Menu), to Commands, to Customize. Be sure you're either using the Default command set, or verify that shortcut hasn't been altered if using a customized command set.

If that checks out OK, go to the Apple menu, to System Preferences, to Keyboard, to Shortcuts, and click the Restore Defaults button. System shortcuts override application shortcuts. If something, for whatever reason, got changed here, this will fix it.
