Let's say I add an effect with a shapemask (and keyframe it etc)... And then I want to add another effect with the exact same shape mask... is there a way to copy it? Or do I have to do all the keyframing all over again?

Depends. If you use the built-in shape mask FCPX allows effects, then no. It is specific to that effect.

If you use the Shape Mask effect, in some situations, then yes.
