Does anyone know if this is a bug in 10.3.3?
I cannot correctly make a compound clip from audio clips with different roles. If I do they are placed in series - one after another within the compound clip.
If however, you give all of the clips the same role attribute - all 'dialogue' for instance, then they will nest successfully inside the compound clip.
This makes things a bit awkward when you want to make a compound clip of your entire soundtrack for adding mastering effects as you have to go through and re-attribute the roles of all of your audio elements.

I'm testing this and not seeing your results. Can you post before and after screen shots?

Can't reproduce it. Is video being combined in the compound? What happens when you split into lanes?

So that was strange, but although I never got to the bottom of why that particular clip behaved so strangely, subsequent similar operations have worked just fine and as you would expect.
I am finding this build of FCPX a bit buggy I have to say. Quite a few hangs and having trouble with the range select tool as well. After selecting a range I am not always able to grab the audio to drag the selection up or down as normal. Also sometimes I am unable to change to another tool successfully via shortcut after using the range tool.
