Hi,
I want to use an external monitor with sdi input for playing playback in FCP X.3.2 through the HDMI output of a Macpro (late 2013).
What is the best way to do that ? Thank you for any help.

One way would be to purchase a Black Magic Design mini converter HDMI to SDI. The small box (which requires power) can feed your SDI monitor with either embedded audio or separate AES/EBU or analog audio out (if you need audio).
We use the mini-converter but they also have cheaper micro converters and also more expensive solutions.
