Automatically apply effects?

Hello all,

I'm getting tired of having to Option E for every clip in order to add a color Board.
How can I have Effects options applied automatically every time I work with a new clip?

I have about other favorites such as vibrancy and crisp contrast to offset exposure adjustments for indoor shots.
So I'd love to have these effects already available for adjustment.

Thanx in advance

Command 6 opens the colour board and making any adjustment there applies the filter to the clip, if it doesn't have one already.

You can also apply all of the filters you normally use, set them up as you, wish, and save them as a preset. You could then select multiple clips and apply once to add them all.

Just a couple of thoughts...

THANX FOR THE COMMAND 6 TIP!!!

That does streamline it a bit, however its still something I must do for every clip.
There must be a way that a color board is already automatically available for each clip added.

The reason I know it is, because an earlier version had this automatic setting, but it was giving me problems so I tried a newer version ( don't remember which it was).

I already see crop, transform, and distort on the upper right corner, so why can't Color board, Vibrancy, and other effects already be there automatically for each clip added?

Apple decided to implement the color filter as a free-standing effect so that users can position it in the stack of effects as desired. In previous versions the color board was always added after the last effect so adding Broadcast Safe could be rendered unsafe by the color board. The only way around this - to add Broadcast Safe as the last thing in the stack - was to create a compound clip and put the filter on there.

You don't have to use Command 6 for every clip if you do your correction/grading as a stage in your workflow. Once the color board is displayed you can select and adjust each clip as you wish and the effect will be added automatically.

You could always add all of the filters that you like to use to the first clip in your project and then copy it to the clipboard, select the rest and use Paste Attributes to drop all of the filters on to all of the clips at once.

You could create a preset with all of your favourite filters in place and that could make it even easier.

In the Timeline, Cmd-6 and correct your first clip. Stay inside the color correction pane (don't go back out to the Inspector). Select the next clip in the Timeline, and the color corrector is now set to grade the new clip you selected.

Or grade the first clip, copy it, and Paste Attributes to the rest of the timeline.
