Move clip to skimmer/playhead

Move clip to skimmer/playhead was created by grailz
I'd like to have the head of a connected clip shift its position to the beginning of where my skimmer/playhead is parked (similar to Motion or After Effects). Anyway to do this in FCP X? I've found the nudge controls which made me think that this capability might exist, but so far I'm coming up empty.

Do you want to roll the edit point or move the clip? If you want to move the clip, which is what I think you mean, there is no edit function for that in FCP. Never has been. You can drag it or use Shift-comma or period to move it in 10 frame increments.

I was hoping to actually MOVE the clip. Since lanes seem to act more like layers than traditional tracks I hoped that Apple might have added that feature in FCP X.
Ah, well. Back to the edit.
Thanks for your input.

If you want it to sync with something else, make a Marker on that clip it needs to sync with, and snapping helps when you drag it over. But yes, it's just dragging as it's always been.
I've actually asked for the trimming shortcuts to be added just like in Motion on the FCP X feedback page. Fill out the page, encourage others to request it, who knows.
