weird import media behaviour was created by mitchino
I'm trying to import a couple of clips from my desktop. The media import window isn't showing a folder hierarchy, and it's listing hundreds and hundreds of clips, 700 clips and counting.
What is this glitch - it's driving me round the bend!
Tried restarting etc etc
It all works fine with external HDs.

The likely cause is that there is a folder on the desktop with a name like DCIM or AVCHD or PRIVATE that makes the application think it's looking at a camera structure and so displays all the media available in that directory. Rename or hid the folder.
