Hi,

I was wondering if anyone has come with a solution for this, I was working on the project when all of the sudden after made a little change on the clip it went black, it doesnt play from the library, nor the timeline, but it does from the original file stored on a hard drive, also it seems that it will happen the same if I try to do any changes in any other file on the project.

you can see the clip being all black when it actually, from the source appear ok
thanks for the help!

I don't see what is "active" (highlighted) in your screen shot. No active (blue) line in the Timeline pane. The clips in the Browser are light yellow, meaning there's ranges made, but not currently the active media. What exactly in your screen show is supposed to be showing in the Viewer?

I've had similar issues where the more I fuss with a clip the more chance it has of getting corrupt in the timeline.
This gets very frustrating when you spend a lot of time making a good clip even better, only to have it drop out... or sometimes I get the "pink scramble." I've also had trouble using compound clips –and I believe that's been well-documented.
My less than ideal workaround is to bring the clips into their own project, get them to behave, then output. Import this back into the original project... and stop fussing with it.

These clips seem to be some flavor of AVCHD. Were they shot with a Canon camera?
