Is it ok to delete the FCPX backup folders files? It has accumulated over 3+ years. All the projects are already backed up anyways and I will not need to revert to an early version of the projects.

If it's ok, what is the best method? Just use finder and delete the files?

Just delete them in the Finder like any other files.
