I have tried to post here twice and I am tired of retyping all of this so hopefully this one will take. I have put my issue in a short video. Thought it would be easier.

Many thanks,
Houston

Track first, then readjust the text. Also, I'd drop a line to CoreMelt directly. I asked Roger to take a peak at this post and see if he can offer some help.

What I would do in this scenario is use track layer instead.

Start by creating a text layer in Final Cut. Type the text and position/rotate it exactly how you want it.

Then make the text into a compound clip.

Add a track layer from Coremelt, and drop the text compound clip into the well.

Then you can adjust the text any way you wish from within the compound clip.

That also opens up more options for 3D text, and behaviours that are not avail. in Track Text

Hi Houston
I think you are not using a definitive point like a point on the shore. If you try to use the water itself, this will make for a bad track. Zoom in and select one of the dots on the beach as the anchor.
You can adjust the track later if it goes off.
There are lots of tutorials by CoreMelt on Vimeo… vimeo.com/coremeltfx/videos

Hope this helps, Greg

Hi Houston, we did already reply to your email, did you not get that?

We made this video to show people better ways to choose the track area:

However in this case because the of perspective change you will still need a few keyframes in order to get the best results. Hope that helps
